Ashley Wood: Executive Director
Ashley Elizabeth Wood is the founder and Executive Director of Albanian Voices. In addition to that, Ashley is a freelance writer, author of the blog MusiCulture&Language and an independent language teacher. She has recently become an External Adviser of the Kosovo International Summer Academy. In 2005, she completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology where she specialized in international affairs and modern languages. She received her Master’s degree in Spanish linguistics from Georgia State University in 2009. She has completed doctorate coursework from the University of Georgia in Romance language linguistics as well. Ashley has been a Spanish instructor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, The University of Georgia and Clayton State University. She now teaches private classes in Spanish, English, German and accent reduction. Ms. Wood is originally from Atlanta, Georgia where she still lives with her husband. With varying degrees of fluency, she speaks English, Albanian, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese and Italian.
