The Albanian Voices Team is Heading to Michigan (July 1-7)!
June 26, 2014 Last year, the “team” was just one person (Ashley) with an outrageous idea: collect stories from people who are part of a culture that is misunderstood by even the story-collector herself. Thanks to all the wonderful residents of Detroit, she was received with open arms and fell even more in love with Albanian culture than she was before. This love for Albania naturally attracted more people to the project. After one year, we are proud to announce a three new volunteers for the project, all based in Atlanta, Georgia: Bora, Matt and Joe. Ashley and Bora will be in Michigan from July 1st until July 6th at St. Paul’s Albanian Catholic Church for the Albanian Cultural Festival in Rochester Hills Michigan.
We want to hear from you and give you a chance to tell your stories. We will be at various coffee-shops in and around the Metro-Detroit area throughout our visit so that you and your family or friends can stop by. Keep checking this page, or follow us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram to know the latest about the schedule and our whereabouts. We hope to see you soon!
No appointment needed. Stop by and chat with us when you have time.
